My sister is planning a visit with her 3 kids, they have already been traveling for a few days so can not go back for birth certificates. Can she cross the border from Canada to US with the kids care cards?

I found a copy of my birth certificate and all it has on it are the two required physician/administrator signatures, my foot prints, and my mother's thumb prints. ALL the other spaces are blank. It is on nice cardstock and has the hospital's seal. Is this normal for birth certificates? My "copy" certificate was issued after I was six months old. Should I be at all uneasy about this or is this a common thing?
Please, only mature answers. Thanks.
I highly doubt I'm adopted. I have a photograph of my grandmother holding me in the hospital. My mother did have a miscarriage before I was born and the blanket she made for me was the exact same pattern as the one for her miscarriage. Could it have been that she wasn't ready for the whole certificate thing again? I'm really just confused.
When I said ""copy"" I meant a second certificate on a smaller piece of cardstock. (Like the kind you get when you need to register for something like a driver's permit.) This smaller copy was issued over 6 months after my birth.

I live in Hopkins County Kentucky and can't travel too far away.
